remember the late Kumu
Hula Aloha Dalire
Dalire died August 6th at
her home. She brought her
halau to the merry
monarch for many many
years.... And was the

with her--- one merrie
monarch year--- about the
importance of hula in her
life.
27:13-27:34 KUMU HULA
ALOHA DALIRE "IT'S A PART

EVERYTHING I FELL AND
ACTUALLY H ULA IS MY
SOUL. HULA IS MY SOUL AND
ITS ME MY ESSENCE AND I
DON'T KNOW IF I WILL
EVERY BE ABLE TO WALK
AWAY FROM IT."
And she didn't .... just
weeks before her death
she brought her halau to
the Queen Liliuokalani
Keiki hula competition...
where she saw her
granddaughter compete as
a soloist.
