now i want to create
a simple organizational chart
file new
drawing
for this one, i'm going to change from my page format to be landscape
this one as well, I want to move my basic shapes up
and i'm going to use my connectors again
and we're going to start
at the top with
the CEO and president
under the CEO we're probably going to have maybe uh...
vp of marketing
now this was a little smaller than the president
i want everyone on this level to have the same size so i'm going to hold our
control
and now i'm going to the left click
and we see a little copy simple show up as and move my hero a little
movin it over to the right
and i made a copy
i can start typing right away if i put a number and
it takes me right in to text mode
so I"m going to delete these
going to say
vp of sales
again i'm going to click off it
click back on it hold down control
and I see my
little plus sign telling me i'm going to make a copy of that
that time i
clicked inside the box to get my cursor in there
VP of information technology
let's uh...
bring this one over a little and down
and underneath them
we're going to have some workers and will make their boxes little bit smaller
we'll say worker
one
i'm using
quick control
and creating a copy
to update the text I can double-click in here
i want to copy these workers and put them into the vps so i'm going to select them
holding down control
so i put my arrow in there i see my plus sign as i move my arrow
moving it under the vp
and there's my copy
and i'm using my arrow buttons to
center it a little better
now i'm going to add some connectors
i don't want any arrows so I'm
going to grab this top left one
and I'm double clicking it
so i can do multiple
since I did that first one marketing, i don't wanna start here on
the CEO again i'm going to start
vp
put that in
that looks good
and now my sales
and he's in (or she)
for the marking we're just going to do the same top
down
and are sales, we're going to do them a little different we are going to show... because
it looks like worker one is over worker two who is over worker three
so for this one
we're going to go to the side
and again i'm not starting right where I left off
but on the one below
and since i don't want to redo these connections again i'm going to select
this group
hold down control
hold down control
clicking with my mouse and I see my plus sign
so it's good, I know i'm going to make a copy
i will have to redo this top one though
so there we have it. A simple org chart created with libreOffice Draw
