Hi I'm Ann Myrick and I'm going to show you today how to organize a bookshelf. We are
in a office and there are a lot of books which I really like. In my opinion books need to
be in a bookshelf. So what I'm going to do is take a lot of the other things away just
for a little bit. And I might bring a few back. But several things that I really like
to do with books. I like to bring them forward and that makes the bookcase a lot, look a
lot fuller. And I do, I don't want every one, one of them to go down in size but I do like
to keep a little bit of consistency. So what I am going to do first is to bring these forward.
And then I'm going to push them where they are just level with the, they are flush with
the shelf. Ok then I might take these out and just break up the books just by putting
a colorful vase or if you have something that is special. You just want to put right in
and then I'll go to the next one and what I usually do if I have an accessory here then
I'll start and put the books this way where it's just a contrast of books and then maybe
an accessory to block it up. Again I am bringing them forward and then you can always put a
picture or if you wanted to put another vase we'll do.... Many ways to do this but I really like having,
bookcases are better if they have a light on them and if they have books, if you don't
have a lot of books then what you would want to do is use big chunky pieces instead of
a lot of little things. You want to use like one or two big things where it doesn't look
like there's all these little accessories on one shelf. This is Ann Myrick and that's
how to organize bookcases.
