Hi I’m Kristen from LCI Paper, and today, I’d like to talk to you about one of our
most popular brands of metallic specialty paper, Aspire Petallics. At first glance alone,
you can see why this is such an appealing paper to so many. But there’s so much more
to the Petallics line than its appearance. It’s really an interesting paper with some
interesting stories behind it, so if you’re intrigued, sit back and watch while I tell
you more. If you’re just discovering the Aspire Petallics line, you may be wondering,
“What’s Petallics?” The name Aspire Petallics comes from a combination of petals
and metallics; petals meaning plants and flowers, and metallics, meaning metals, all indigenous
to North America. For example, some of the metal colors include Copper Ore, Silver Ore,
Black Ore; and some of the petals are named Juniper Berry, Autumn Hay, Beargrass, etcetera.
So now that I’ve told you where the name Aspire Petallics comes from, it’ s time
for the other big piece of the puzzle: What, and who, is responsible for this fabulous
finish I’m seeing? Well, it’s the brainchild of CTI Paper, a company I’ll tell you about
later, but in the mean time, the finish on Aspire Petallics is the result of the mineral
mica. You’re probably already familiar with mica; it has a lot of industrial applications
– women, you’re favorite eye shadow with that subtle sparkle, men, that custom pearlescent
paint job on your favorite sports car. In the case of metallic specialty paper like
this, mica is infused into a coating that’s applied to the paper. So the finished product
is a modern, stylish, eye-catching paper that some of the biggest companies in the United
States, including Disney and General Motors, have used to create designs that make a lasting
impression. So what impressive designs can you create with Aspire Petallics? LCI offers
Aspire Petallics in lots of sizes, lots of colors, in text and cover weights, in smooth
and linen finishes, in envelopes, and in pockets and wraps, so the sky’s the limit. If your
creative design requires you to print Petallics at home, we recommend laser printers due to
its metallic, non-porous finish; but great news; four new colors of Petallics have improved
ink jet compatibility, and in the near future, so will the whole line. CTI Paper, the company
behind Aspire Petallics, is continuously researching and striving to produce papers of the utmost
style, quality, and environmental soundness. Aspire Petallics is manufactured elemental
chlorine free, acid free, lignin free, and is of course recyclable. So there’s Petallics
in a nutshell. We love it, but we’d love to hear your impression. Get in touch with
us.
