When you're sending a parcel in the post there are probably two things that you really care
about. One that it doesn't get lost and two that it doesn't get damaged. So you wouldn't
want it to end up in the hands of this guy working on a train in the Russian city of
Novosibirsk. The Russian postal service has launched an investigation into why the as
yet unidentified worker was just hurling the packages off the train and onto the platform
but identifying exactly who it was might take a while because the company has 42,000 offices,
380,000 employees and processes 1.5 billion mailed items every single year. And they aren't
even sure if it is a postal worker at all yet or somebody from a private company but
it's clearly not an isolated incident because in the last six months the Russian postal
service has paid out 7.5 million rubles in fines, has had 27,000 complaints and delivered
15,000 burnt letters. Anyway it reminded us of this Chinese baggage handler at Guangzhou
airport who must have been having a pretty awful day because it can't really be claimed
that he was being lazy because he was just making more work for himself by missing the
conveyor belt.
"Look at this, what an idiot."
