Hi everybody I'm Stacey ***, TV beauty, lifestyle and fashion expert and
right now we are in the heart of red carpet season. Something that women are constantly
asking me is how they can get that Old Hollywood glamour girl look without having to take a
second mortgage out on their home, which I totally relate to and understand because I'm
on a budget too. So when you talk fashion, one of Hollywood's best-kept secrets is David's
Bridal. Now I know you're thinking, Yeah, David's Bridal is great for is great for bridesmaid
dresses and wedding gowns, but I'm gonna tell you, it's a fierce store to hit when
you want an evening gown at a fraction of the cost. So, think back to the Golden Globes
and Claire Danes' gorgeous cherry red halter neck evening gown. Now that was Versace Couture.
It retails for thousands
of dollars. But I jumped on davidsbridal.com and unearthed this dress that's virtually
the same dress, but it retails for $99.99, which put a huge smile on my face.
Another color trend I was seeing on the red
carpet was crisp clean white, little bits of cream and champagne mixed in. So I brought
along address from Oleg Cassini. I love the strapless affect, the fittedness at the waistline
that trumpets out into that glamour skirt at the bottom mermaid-style. What I love about
David's Bridal is that whether you're a size 14 or a size 4, every dress you see you can
get in your size. Instant gratification. You don't have to worry about tailoring. You could
just take that dress, hit the ground running, wear it out and enjoy it that night and have
an outer confidence about your whole look.
Now something interesting that was missing
this time around on the red carpet was faux tans. So what we're seeing is the movement
towards more glowing luminescent skin tones, a little bit more natural. So I was asking
Zoe Deschanel, she's one of my favorite actresses, and she's been out in force on the red carpet
looking beautiful. What was her go-to beauty secret? She tipped me off that Cetaphil Gentle
Skin Cleanser is one of her beauty essentials. It's a dermatologist approved line, award-winning
cleansers and moisturizers. The general skin cleanser is incredible because it's perfect
on sensitive skin. It won't leave a residue. It won't clog your pores. If you have a little
bit of rosacea or adult acne this could be your go-to safe trusted cleanser. And what
I love about it is that you don't have to use water to wash it off. You have that option
and duality. This retails for $12 at drugstores.
The third beauty tip that I was seeing on
the red carpet were these beautiful smiles with pops of color on different celebrity
lips. An easy way to transform your smile is Crest White Strips. Now as we age, we eat
different things, our diet shift around. You lose a little bit of the luster in your teeth.
The White Strips come in treatments for 30 minutes or you can do them in treatments for
two hours and kind of power through the whitening process. But it really puts that bright shiny
smile back on your face. It makes your teeth look amazing without a trip to the dentist's
office, which I love. Now when you talk about lip color think about pops of coral and peach.
Think about pops of wine. But the thing you have to bear in mind is when you do that strong
lip, keep your cheek and eye shadow a little bit more neutral so that you create that balance
between the look and then everything comes across very polished and pulled together.
Last thing to talk about is hair. What we're seeing on the red carpet this season is a
throwback again to that old 40s and 20s glamour with side swept waves, long hair or chignons
at the nape of ladies' necks with finger waves on one side of their face. Very classic,
simple and oh so glamorous.
So thanks for spending a few minutes with me. I hope you got your inside scoop on old
Hollywood glamour. And for more information you can go to staceycox.com, davidsbridal.com,
