We observe the universe at nine different frequencies or wavelengths. This first image shows the whole
universe color-coded by those wavelengths. If we take a close look, we can see a Milky Way - big wispy stuff.
Compact sources are separate objects identifiable highlighted in red. We can divide them into ones
inside the Milky Way, the ones in Cyan, here, and ones outside the Milky Way, in yellow.
You can see in the cyan ones, concentration in the plane of the galaxy and in the ones outside the Milky Way,
no relationship with their galactic structure.
We can divide them also into ones that emit mostly in the infrared and ones that emit longer wavelengths,
in the radio. Here we put them all back together and add back in the dust, everything, the cosmic background.
