Take a stand right now, we're live across the nation and around the world. So, good
evening ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the Notre Dame president, Fr. John Jenkins,
Director of Athletics, Jack Swarbrick, and head coach Brian Kelly, welcome to primetime
at Notre Dame Stadium as we celebrate 125 years of Notre Dame football. Tonight's game
features the Wolverines of the University of Michigan and your Fighting Irish. This
is the 40th meeting of the series that dates back to the teams' first game, they met in
1887. That makes this the oldest rivalry among football bowl subdivision schools in the history
of college football. Michigan is coached by Brady Hoke, the Irish by Brian Kelly. The
game officials are from the Big Ten. The replay officials are from the Big East. Here is your
game time weather information: the temperature is 50, the wind is out of the northwest at
5. The forecast: the autumnal equinox is upon us. Mostly dark, a tad chilly, with a decreasing
chance of rain.
