Hi, welcome to Expert Village. I'm Gretchen Soares and today we are going to be discussing
how to shop for children's clothing. In this clip, we're going to discuss picking sleepwear
for our children. One thing we want to stay away from is anything polyester and/or nylon.
Those are not great for small children for flame and heat reasons. Nobody wants to have
a fire, but we all want our children to be protected if there is a fire. I really like
the blanket sleepers. They zip up the front so it makes them very simple to get them into.
With older children, it has this little snap at the top of the zipper. It keeps their little
fingers away from the zippers so they keep their pajamas on. They're footed, you don't
have to worry about socks staying on. And they're nice and warm so you're child's going
to sleep well. Especially younger children, they don't sleep well under blankets. Little
babies you're not supposed to put the blanket in with. Then younger children, I find mine
toss and turn and throw their blankets everywhere. So you know your child is going to stay nice
and toasty warm in this. Another choice is the 2-piece outfits. They have a shirt and
pants. Sometimes they snap together. The snap together ones are a little better, but I find
that these, you know, their little tummies come out and get exposed. They don't stay
as warm. You also have to put socks on with them so that the feet stay warm. It's an ok
choice but personally this would be much better.
