Hi, I'm Dan McLellen. I'm with Expert Village. Today, we're going to talk about how to make
a complex balloon creation. Actually, we're making a duck and so far we've already done
the body of the duck which was done out of a yellow balloon. And the eyes and the stomach
of the duck which was done out of a white balloon. We're now going to add the beak and
the feet of the duck, which will actually use one single orange balloon. We'll also
talk about reusing a balloon in the same creation. Let's start by blowing up an orange balloon.
Once again, I'm not going to blow it up all the way because I'll need room to work with
it. But this time...what I'm going to do is I'm going to tie it off here and then I'm
going to tie it off at the base of where I blew it up. And I'm going to detach the remaining
part of the uninflated area of the balloon. So, I'm only left with the inflated area.
I'm going to then take the two ends, tie them together (which creates a loop), and then
I'm going to take the opposite end of the tied end and push it in together here which
will create two loops that are roughly the same size. And this becomes the beak of the
duck. Alright, I'm now going to attach the beak to the rest of the duck here and the
area that is beneath the eyes of the duck, between the wings, above the stomach here.
So, that segment where the balloons all come together. I'm going to take the area that
is uninflated that is in the back of the balloon, which is actually the original lip or tip
of the balloon, I'm going to pull it back behind here and wrap it around a couple of
times. And if you want, you can tie it off in the back, but usually just the wrap there
itself is good enough to keep it in place. And then rotate the beak up so you have a
top and a bottom and now the beak is attached. We're now going to go back and attach the
feet using the same orange balloon.
