Buying a home is one of the most important things that you will do in your lifetime,
and I love being a part of that. To me, value is a combination. It's a combination of location,
condition, and price all in one package. The first thing I do is we sit down, and we create
a wish list. What is it that the buyer thinks they're really looking for, and what do they
think is most important to them. When she asked me, what are you looking for in a house
and I would say, I don't want this, I don't want that. I want it to look like this. She'd
say, great. What's your budget? This is what we're going to find you. I spend hours on
the computer, searching for the listings that meet that criteria. Then we hit the road.
She really showed us houses everywhere. From Somers to Chappaqua, and we were just kind
of across the board, showing us different things, different values, so we would get
a feel for it. As first time home buyers, she took a lot of time with us. By going town
to town, they see what their money can buy in the different towns. How the taxes change.
What kind of value you get for that same dollar. As a first time home buyers, we obviously
didn't know too much what to expect, so she really hand held us through a lot of the process.
We saw that that really came through with Lisa's personality, and we developed a friendship
that came along with that. I really get to know the people that I am working with and
we form a bond. It's almost as if they become family. We got incredibly lucky with Lisa
finding our house for us. For buying our first house, it was a great experience.
