Your "why" has to be amazing. Your "why" has to be bigger than yourself.
So
looking at "I just want to look good with a 6-pack and that" - it's not bigger than
yourself, it's still in here.
We want you to be looking further than you - so looking at your family...
Then further than them - look at the community; What can you do for them?
Then further than them again - What can you do for the world?
It's not about what the world can do for you. You want to wake up and say - "You know what
World this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to create this. I'm going to and achieve this."
**The aim today is to actually get you to understand your why. Well first, find your
why, understand your why, and really find out whether what you're doing and what you're
aiming for is actually married up to your why."
I believe we all have the truth inside us. I believe we know what we need to be doing
and if we can dig deep enough then we can be directing ourselves in the right direction,
rather than relying on all these outside people, products, these information - again all these
apparently amazing things that help us i think just look inside; Innately we understand what
we need to do.
Now the biggest myth is that the PT is the hero, that we're there to save clients, save
people from themselves. I don't think that's the truth. I think that the client is the
hero and we're there to facilitate that, we're there to coach them through this journey so
that they become the hero of their own story.
My belief is if you let somebody tell their story then they're actually coaching themselves
in a way. I'm just there to facilitate this journey, facilitate the story that they're
wanting to share. I'm actually the one that's going into the right direction for them. That's
all I'm doing. I'm not the one doing the actions, they are. i just sit back and i allow them
to pull their heart out to be stressed, to be a little bit crazy because of what the
world is throwing at them - and it's okay. I want them to know that it's okay to be that.
People are too much worrying about doing everything else and then the last thing that comes in
mind is the health and that's usually the first thing that goes. So as people get older,
the health decreases so much because they haven't even looked after themselves. So you've
got to look after yourself. If you don't, you're not going to be on this earth for a
long period of time. I make sure that i treat people with respect but also make sure i train
them right. If i'm not training people right then i'm not doing my job. I'm not trying
to sell people, i'm trying to train them well.
We also have a boxing coach that we go to. We go to him every week and the reason why
we do that is because we teach it right. We learn it ourselves and then we teach the craft.
We don't just turn up and don't know what we're doing and don't treat that person with
the same professional manner that we expect so that's why we go and spend our own money
and make sure we train them effectively as we can.
My daily mantra is to make sure that we impact people in what we do so that we give people
information and education that they can take not just for them but for their family so
they can pass that information on. So we're not just impacting one person, we're impacting
their family, her husband, wife, sisters, brothers. So the more we can influence, the
better it'll be. And it's all about making sure that we impact as many people as we can
over a long period of time.
