Good afternoon Mustangs! I'm Wes!
And I'm Megan! And this is your West News.
Today is Tuesday, January 28th, 2014!
Tomorrow night, January 29th, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. is the Academic Advising night for
7th, 8th and 9th grade students. We begin at 6p.m. in the library then move into the
following rooms: 7th grade parents and students are in the library with Mrs. Stoll. 8th grade
parents and students are in Mrs. Henderson's room, 213, with Mr. Johnston. And 9th grade
parents and students are in Mr. Moore's room, 214, with Mrs. King. All parents and students
are invited.
Also beginning next week there is registration for all grades and your respective grade counselor
will let you and your teachers know when and where you will complete registration.
Now to Austin in the weather center.
today is 28 degrees and overcast. Tonight around 11 there is a chance of ice pellets
- so stay inside! Tomorrow should be 40 degrees with a chance of rain.
Now back to the studio!
Attention 9th grade girls! If you are a strong student in math or science, if you have ever
thought you might like a career in technology, or if you would just like a chance to hear
some information about careers in technology, please join several women from the treasure
valley for a lunch hosted by Micron, this Thursday, January 30th from 11:30-12:20 in
Ms. Haley's room 108. Pizza will be provided, and you will have
the opportunity to listen to women who work in a number of technology-related careers
and ask questions as well. If you would like to attend, please sign up with Mrs. King in
the counseling office. This is for 9th grade girls only.
Data privacy day is celebrated internationally on January 28th of each year. They purpose
a data privacy day is to raise awareness and promote data privacy education
The lost and found area is already overflowing. Please take a moment to run upstairs by the
library and see if anything there is yours!
