I am Francie DeMun and I am a tapestry artist. I am here on behalf of Expert Village. Something
I should mention is as to the care of the tapestry whether you make your own or purchase
someone else’s. As if with any art work, you need to take certain measures to protect
them. The first is not to hang them in direct sunlight because eventually even though these
wools are top quality, they could fade. The other thing is if you are going to be in an
area where there is a lot of dirt in the air New York, for instance. Some people have opted
to put glass over them; just to keep them clean. Because at the moment I have had some
luck with art specialist cleaners can clean them but some say it is better just to not
do that. Just have the person take good care of them but there will be a little bit of
natural fading but the most important thing is to keep them out of direct sunlight.
