Hi everyone, today we're going to be working on this Heart-Shaped Water Marble for
Valentine's Day.
And, I did a heart-shaped marble last year for Valentine's Day that I wasn't quite
one hundred percent happy with,
And I think this one turned out quite a bit better.
Although there are still a few issues that I'm working out
I really like the colors together,
and I really liked the final look.
The nail polish that I'm using today, this darker mauve is Ulta - Femme Fatale.
And this lighter, kind of pinkish lilac is Zoya Marley.
So, I'm going to continue to build my bull's eye here,
And with these particular colors I recommend kind of letting them spread as much
as possible before dropping the next one.
And that just keeps the colors from blending together too much; sometimes if
you
drop one polish before the one before it has fully expanded,
then
it ends up looking kind of dirty, and they just kind of blend together.
So, now that I've got my bull's eye formed, I'm going to go up to the top,
and down to the bottom.
And then, with just a very light touch, I'm going to draw in from the side,
at an angle,
and then in from the other side.
And just draw them down a little bit in the middle, and you can see that creates
like the top of the heart.
And I'm going to
repeat that just a little lower down,
on both sides.
And
it's going to create
basically a chain of hearts in the middle of the polish.
So, to finish it off I'm just going to add one more at the very
top here.
Then I have my nail prepped with one coat of Marley.
I'm going to turn the cup just a little bit, because I'm placing it at an angle on
my nail.
Just line up as best as you can, and then dip into the water.
I'm going to go ahead and clean up all the excess polish from the surface.
And once it's as clear as you can get it,
just go ahead and pull your nail out.
And there you can see the heart design.
