So, sweet Jesus. Amy Hennig writer of the Uncharted franchise was reportedly “Forced
Out” of Naughty Dog studios during the development of Uncharted 4. By whom you might ask? By
those hitting that crack pipe just a little to hard over there at Naughty Dog those people
being Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley. What the hell? Do you guys over at Naughty Dog
know what the hell you just did. I don't think you do. For those of you out there that may
be wondering what I'm playing this is called Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver. What's great
about this game? Everything..how is it relevant? Written by Amy Hennig. Amy knows how to write
video games to give them that extra push to grab a gamers attention within a story. If
you never got to experience the Legacy Of Kain Franchise you should start. Wonderful
franchise. Back to the topic at hand. Amy Hennig knows her *** and is one extremely
talented writer. By Naughty Dog forcing her out the door they've only done themselves
a huge injustice...and I mean HUGE injustice. I know Amy Hennig will find work...Hell If
I was studio I'd be standing outside the door she got thrown out of ready and willing to
hire her. She's brillant! I don't know what the hell is going on over at Naughty Dog.
First the layoffs, then a game gets canceled and now throwing out Amy Hennig. You guys
must be smoking crack...you simply must be. Whether she got done writing the script for
Uncharted 4 means nothing. Do you want to know why? This is common in everything that
you do when creating media. Be it games, Be it moves or be it speeches. People with talent
go and move beyond the script. It's a development process. The script is never done until the
game or movie is done. That's the way it goes. With this announcement of Amy Hennig getting
the boot...I have to say I'm not even excited about Uncharted 4 anymore. I'll have to wait
until I see what's all going on..but I'm at the point where I just don't care now. Great
single player games have to have a good story to them or I just don't enjoy them. Amy Hennig...if
you're seeing this. Thank you for making my childhood amazing and thank you for going
against the grind producing some of the most amazing story-lines I've ever seen in games
that have ever existed. I hope you don't stop...even if you are rich. Take care everyone I'll see
you later.
