So I'm going to show you how to cover pretzels and potato chips in chocolate, which sounds
weird but potato chips dipped in chocolate are probably one of the greatest things I've
ever eaten and you should definitely give it a shot.
I’m using, these are chili lime chips, you can use any flavor that you like but I kind
of like to pair my chocolate with my flavored potato chips. So I'm going to take a little
bit of white chocolate, and I've tempered my white chocolate, which means that I've
brought down the temperature so that it's nice and cool and it has a good gloss and
shine to it. And I'm just going to go ahead and dip my potato chip, just about halfway
and let it kind of drizzle off. And then just gently I'm going to kind of push against the
side, and onto a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Okay. I'll do a few more of those so again just dip right into your chocolate, let it
drizzle off, and this way I'm making sure that when I put my chip onto my cookie sheet
it isn't all going to spread out. You can see it's really holding the shape of that
chip. Okay. We'll do one more, and then while my chocolate is still nice and glossy and
wet, you could sprinkle with anything that you like. I'm going to intensify the flavor
while a little extra Cayenne pepper. So just a light sprinkling, let's try not to get too
much here, just for a little extra kick. Your friends will love that, I guarantee.
Next, let's take some pretzels so for the pretzels I love milk chocolate or you can
use dark. Here I have a dark chocolate, this is a 61%. I'm just going to go ahead and dip
my pretzel and you can go in as deep as you want to. It helps to take a water glass and
just fill your chocolate in your water glass and then you can kind of just plunge right
in.
But again, just kind of gently sklooch off the bottom, and just right onto a cookie sheet.
I'll do a couple more. Feel free to dip as deep as you want to, you can cover the entire
pretzel, you can do just part of the pretzel like I'm doing. Totally up to you. Okay.
Right off here, and then just to have a little bit of fun with it, I'm just going to take
some sprinkles and just gently right keep it kind of on the top. You can use anything
that you like whether it's coconut, a little toasted coconut, chocolate chips, a little
extra sea salt anything that you like. And then all I’m going to do is take these and
pop them either in the freezer or refrigerator just for about 10 minutes until I can touch
them and they're nice and firm and the chocolate has set. And then you’re ready to serve.
So that's how you dip pretzels and potato chips in chocolate.
