The Burton 2L Hemisphere Jacket is part of the 2L durashell dry ride series. It's the
combination of two different things, the abrasion resistant material and a water proof and breathable
memory that it has underneath it, now the water proofing material that's in this jacket
is a 20,000 millimeter water proof material and there's 15,000 millimeters of breathable
material. This is going to be a very water resistant jacket and a very breathable jacket
as well. If your in cold conditions and wet conditions, this is going to be a very good
jacket to ride all day in. If your in Colorado, the east, the northwest or Midwest, this is
definitely going to be a great jacket if your out in the crazy elements. The jacket has
a lot of great features, a couple of course are going to be the Sherpa lined fleece hood,
It has a nice, soft feel. There's 80 grams of thermacore sporadically placed in this
jacket and there's multizone ALS lining with diamond-quilt satin material on the inside
of the jacket as well. So, it's comfortable, it's very warm and pretty stylish as well.
It's part of the team fit series, meaning that it's actually on the larger end on the
spectrum. there's the team series, the six fit (that's right in the middle) and the "Emo"
series The team series actually adds two inches of length to the bottom of the jacket and
two inches of length to the sleeves. There are many great features on the outside of
the jacket including inner belly pockets, closures for the waist of the jacket,
a hidden Pass pocket,
a removable snow skirt which provides protection to the body from snow, "Pit zips" which provide
a nice way to release heat if you get way too warm and a chest pocket. Inside the jacket
is a compartment for headphones, taking care of the wires flying around, which might get
in the way. The fleece hood is also adjustable allowing for any size head or helmet.
