Hi, Lynn Huber here. Today I have tip #5 in How to be Master Networker.
Networking is crucial to our business, because remember, your net worth is equal
to your network! So Tip #5 in How to be a Master Networker
is to be a connector. As you start to go out there an you start
to network with a lot of people, and you get to know a lot of people? and remember
you are keeping track of everyone you talk to?, notes about them, and what you
talked about? to as I explained in Tip #2 ? we?re going to start building a large
list of contacts. And as you do that, and as you?re networking with other people?
one of the things you?re going to find? if you remember in tip #4 it?s all about
being a giver. Well tip #5 helps you do that. One of the best ways to give to people
is to connect them with someone else. So what I do every week in my business,
is I always look for two people in my network that I can connect with one another.
Sometimes I?ll do this even more often.
So, for example, say I know Mark, and Mark does landscaping. And I?ve got
David who is a contractor who builds new houses. So I will start an email
conversation or a phone conversation or a 3-way facebook message and
introduce them to each other. So I might say, Mark, I want you to meet David.
Mark does landscaping, and David is a contractor who builds houses. I thought
you might like to meet each other ? there might be some synergy there.
It?s as simple as that. I just make connections. I become the connector, and by
doing that you?re doing tip #4 which is giving to people, and you?re doing tip #5 -
you?re becoming that connector. You?re doing this to give to these two people ?
not looking for anything in return. Inevitably though, when you connect people
together, many times they can?t help but want to connect you with some of their
contacts. I?ve seen this time and time again. So make it a habit in your business
? every week ? make connections and be a connector, and you will see that your
network will grow and flourish. So again, this is Lynn Huber. Thanks for spending
a few minutes with me today, and come back tomorrow for tip #6. See you
then!
