So once you've got your piece on center. Whether you're using a Giffin grip or whether you've
just centered it and put three lumps of clay. All the way around to hold it in place. You
can take your ribbon tool and trim the foot. I like where the foot meets the bowl. To have
a nice curve to it. So I trim that out with a curve. And then I give the foot a little
bit of an under cut. And then I take the ribbon tool. And I trim a little bit out from the
underside. Remember that I left a half an inch there. So I can take a little bit out,
without cutting through the bottom of my cup, here. So that just gives it a nice little
foot. Now this right here, I would consider a tea bowl. If it doesn't have a handle. You
can use these without a handle. And it's kind of, nice. Because you can hold your warm tea,
in your hand. And it's just a sensation, a lot people really appreciate. However, if
you want to turn this into a tea cup. All you've got to do is, add a handle. And I'll
show you how to do that, next.
