>> I like the diagnostics and I like testing hearing and I
like explaining the hearing loss so that it's practical
and people can apply it to their life
and understand what's going on.
We were seeing a child, this is early child, under 2,
who they thought was autistic, and my school district
who is really very proactive, I consult to them.
So they called and said, "Can you see this child?
Because we've got some confusing information."
I said, "Sure."
So I saw him, I'm going,
"This child is no more autistic than you and I."
He was deaf.
He let you put earphones on and I'm doing all this
and I'm going, "There's no way this child is autistic."
And now he has two Cochlear implants.
We called, I called immediately, right after that,
and I called actually John Schalup [phonetic] in Mayo
and I said, "Can I said please send this child
down to you right now because this is what's going on,"
and it's fantastic.
So that was fun.
