Hi, this is Mark Kneeskern, on behalf of Expert Village. And in this clip I'm going to talk
about how to cut out your design from news print for screen printing. Once you've got
your design markered out, and you've got a bold design accurately placed on your newsprint,
and if you see something while you're cutting that you want to change, then you can just
go ahead and do that. You don't have to go absolutely by the marker. And you'll want
to have a very sharp instrument for this, like an exacto knife, is what I use usually.
And just begin cutting the very detailed stuff out first and work from the middle out. Because
the newsprint will become somewhat flimsy as you begin cutting pieces out of it. You
want to keep in mind, that you need a bold design and so if you've done some light line
drawings, you want to avoid the small lines, and just go for the boldness. And that is
how you cut out a screen for screen printing.
