Hi everyone. This is Courtney Basta with Shine for Five. Today I wanted to make a video to
show you how I make my cute but also cheap holiday floral display. First you are going
to need a few supplies. The supplies you need to make this display are a plastic flower
pot, you need a foam block, a drill, a wreath of your choice (this one is 12 inches), pipe
cleaners, and some fillers. I have a cheap little planter pot that I found at Walmart.
I have pre-drilled tiny little holes in the sides. There are 4 of them. You are going
to need the holes in the pot so you can stick in this pipe cleaner which is to hold your
wreath in place. Next, this is optional, I am using my floral display for outside my
house so I have put heavy rocks in the bottom of my flower pot because I don't want my display
to be blowing off anywhere. So go ahead and put your rocks in the bottom of the pot then
stick you foam on top of that. Next you are going take your pipe cleaner and start threading
it through your pre-drilled holes. Now we are ready to stick our wreath on top. The
purpose of the wreath is so I don't have to go out and chop up a whole bunch of live greenery
from outside. And this artificial greenery will allow me to use this display over and
over again next year it will be ready to go. Get ready to secure our wreath using our pipe
cleaner. Make sure to hide it really good but still secure enough to keep it from falling
off. I now have my wreath secured to my pot. As you can see it's not going anywhere. All
I did was twist tie my pipe cleaner through the wreath really good and tight. Slip it
under your wreath, so that the ends are not hanging out where people can see it. That's
your base. You could even just leave it like that and its really cute. And here is the
finished product once I've added all the filler in. I had these candy canes that we found
at the dollar store. Some little snowball sprigs that we found in the floral decorating
section for Christmas. And, I added a few red, green and silver Christmas bulbs because
I already have a red, green and brown theme going on for our outside doorway. The total
cost of this project was probably about $30 with all the supplies. Super cute and cheap
and will last me for years to come. Hope you enjoyed. Bye
