Risa: Hi Guys, Risa Lynch here! For Valentine's Day my husband and I, Pete, we ordered the
Tony Horton Kitchen because we wanted to see what it was like. We ordered some for his
parents for a Christmas gift and we kind of wanted to see what it was like ourselves.
So this is our Valentine's Day gift. This is how it comes and this is cold, so it must
be some kind of ice pack or fridge or dry ice pack and we're just going to figure out
what we need to do. We're going to pull it out of here... So there
it is and we have to figure out how to get into it! So Excited!
He has all organic food. Free range chicken, wild caught salmon... So we're hoping we get
some good stuff! So we just opened the package which is all
nice and cold. It's definitely chilly in there. Here's all our little containers, they have
all the days of the week. So it says Monday, Friday... Here's some ice. I guess it tells
you what's what for each day. Thursday, Wednesday... See, it has all the days of the week on it.
We just got five day's worth. Pete: Or you can get seven
Risa: You can get five or seven. As today's Friday we're going to open it up
and see what we got! Pete: It's actually next Friday but then I
don't even -- Risa: Oh? It's next Friday? Well
Pete: It really starts on Monday and goes through Friday starting next Monday through
Friday but -- Risa: Oh, Okay
Pete: We're not going to wait. Risa: We're not going to wait. We're going
to open them... Friday... Now we got the breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Pete: Yes, well that's the way it's set up. Everybody gets it.
Risa: That's the way it's set up. Oh everybody gets the breakfast lunch and dinner. We of
course just got it for just one person because we're just going to check it out and see what
it's like. That must be what this is. Pete: Here's the breakfast.
Risa: Okay the breakfast is hearty granola. They suggest you pair your granola with an
apple, a banana, and half a cup of almond milk. So we got some granola. So it's all
portioned out so that you're not eating too much.
This is probably the lunch. Traditional minestrone stew... Yummy, yummy. Got some yummy black
eyed peas in there, which I love. Looks like some cabbage and all sorts of yumminess.
Dinner is ginger coconut rice with vegetables with salmon. Looks yummy. It's all nice and
cold and obviously didn't spoil or anything like that even though it was left out there
a little bit because it had these big blocks of ice in it to keep it cold.
That's what we're going to try out this week and I'll have to show you all the different
meals when we open them! Pete: We got an email today that actually
said what the menu was for the entire week so you don't have to open them to find out
what the meals are. Risa: Okay so you order it and you don't necessarily
know. Pete: Every day's... No you don't actually
know until they make the meals what the menu's going to be. So they make them and they send
them to you and they send an email with what is going to be for breakfast, lunch and dinner
of every day. Risa: Because they make it all fresh. They
get all fresh ingredients it just depends what the chef find for that week, so you don't
know what you're going to get. So it's a surprise! Which is kind of cool! So when your kids come
home and say "What's for dinner?" You can say "Surprise! We'll find out! Tony Horton
will tell us soon! We'll let you know how they are! I'll have
