Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! Today I am just doing a black barbie makeup tutorial.
If you want to get a little more background on this look and why I chose it, definitely
check out my blog post. I will have the link down below, it's the one titled "Miss France:
Enough is Enough" and this blog post will just give you a little more background on
why I am choosing to do these looks. So if you want to see how I got this look, then
definitely please keep watching.
So I have already used my primer, LORAC Behind the Scenes Primer, and I am going to base
my eyeshadow with "Bad to the Bronze" by Maybelline, the color tattoos. Using the E60 brush by
Sigma, I am picking up Ambush from my Urban Decay Vice2 Palette, and I am packing this
color on my lid towards the center and blending it upwards into my inner and outer corners
a little bit. Then I am taking Brown Script by MAC in my crease and smoking it out, and
I am concentrating the color in my outer V. Going in with the same base, I am going to
pack Ambush onto my second eyelid.
Now that I have Ambush on, I am picking up Strick from the Vice2 palette, and I am packing
that in my inner corner using my Shader brush from the Sigma Performance Eye Kit.
The Vice2 Palette comes with a really nice brush that looks like this...using this brush
I am going to place "Smokeout" this deep brown color in my outer corner and I am really packing
it on before I blend it in a V shape towards the center of my eye. I am packing it on because
her eyes do get very smokey towards the outer V. I am blending the color into the crease
and also making a V shape.
You have seen where I focused the color, now I am using a fluffy brush to blend it into
the transition color I placed in my crease earlier. And this just really gives the look
that Barbie has going on.
Now I am going to go through the same exact steps on the other eye! Now, to bring some
intensity back, I am going in with the same exact color I used on my lids in the beginning--Ambush
from the Vice2 palette--and I am using my E60 from Sigma again. With a little bit of
the Ambush color still on my brush, I am blending in the highlight I placed in my inner eye
to make the transition more seamless. I then run the remaining color along my lower lashline
as well.
Now I am just going to line my waterline and tightline with my favorite black pencil, the
L'Oreal Liquid Pencil Eyeliner. With a smudge brush from my Sigma Performance eye kit, I
am going to smudge the Smokeout color along the outer corner of my lower lash line.
After I contour, I am blending my Ben Nye Banana Powder underneath my cheekbones where
I placed the contour. This is further accentuate the contour to make the effect more dramatic,
and also make my jaw more prominent because Black Barbie has strong bone structure. I
do this in sweeping circular motions.
It looks like she does have a blush on that is quite noticeable, and I am using my fuchsia
flash contour color creme by Sephora and I am applying it on the side of my face on the
cheekbones.
I am lining my cupid's bow area with "Sugar Plum" lipliner by Milani. Then for lipstick
I am using "Fluid" by MAC because it is a really close color for what Barbie is wearing.
Ok guys, so that's the finished look. I really hope you enjoyed, I had so much fun with it
I am having so much fun with this board and sort of representing underrepresented women
of color who are darker skinned. So if you have any suggestions, again, feel free to
