And when you sew it on, you want to leave enough room for the elastic band before sewing.
And you want to make sure it fits. Make SURE it fits.
Then you're going to insert the elastic into the edging.
And then you want to slide down the elastic so the ends are flush.
You're going to have to have a little bit extra because of this. When you sew it, you're going to sew over the top of it
and it will cut off about the width of your seam allowance.
You will have to bunch the material in the middle because it should be shorter.
The elastic should be shorter than your armband.
Measure around the paper and then you're going to add on a little bit.
The exact amount of your presser foot.
So stick a piece of paper, mark the end of your presser foot, and then put your needle down.
And that measurement, you want to add it around your printout.
Remember to use black thread on this part,
because you don't want, the clear vinyl, this will be showing up on the outside.
Also I suggest using excess paper cut from the printed image.
And place it over top of the vinyl and sew on top of the paper.
The presser foot really sticks to the vinyl and it makes it quite difficult to sew.
It will start bunching and... we don't want that.
You don't have to worry about pinning the vinyl, the clear vinyl to the black vinyl,
because it sticks.
You want to spread the fabric apart so it's easier to get the paper in.
The vinyl really, really sticks, so you don't want your paper crumpling when you try and put it in.
If it doesn't fit, cut the paper, don't try and resew it.
It's a lot easier to cut the paper or even reprint it.
Don't forget to take out the paper first.
Then fold it over and pin.
Now you can flip it right side out and put the paper back in.
And that's it.
