My name is Sarah Graham.
I'm a jewelry designer in San Francisco and I've been making jewelry for going on 23 years now.
Because we're such a small shop, everything is made here by hand.
There are certain aspects of jewelry making and craftsmanship that are super important.
It needs to be beautiful. It needs to be well made.
Using CAD and a printer helps me to a technical level that I couldn't achieve on my own.
The beauty of the fingerprint pieces is that every piece is one of a kind.
I had to figure out a way though to offer it to stores because I sell to stores all over the country.
I use a digital scanner to get fingerprints and then I'm able to print it and cast those pieces.
The resolution and ease of use just blew me away. I just sit there and print all day long.
It's been really important that I finally come up with a way to cast the resin and get really really good results.
To find a way to combine technology and hand crafted pieces: I feel like I have the best job in the world.
