This video is to show you how to fill out a KIS billing template.
For the purpose of this video I will fill out a template
To show the following example job.
I will be traveling to Winona State University from St. Paul
To interpret Basic English class from 11am - 11:50 for John Smith on May 8th, 2013.
The first step is to enter the first date of the billing cycle.
Because this example job is on Wednesday, May 8th the first date of this billing cycle
is Monday, May 6th, 2013.
As you can see the rest of the dates fill in automatically.
The next step is to enter the Rate Code. The code I will choose will come from this box.
As you can see I am entering (Rate Code 6); You will now see the rate column fill in automatically
now I will enter 'Travel' in the description box.
The 'Start time' is 9:30 am and the 'End Time' is 11:00 am
As you can see the 'Total Pay' column is automatically filled in.
Now to enter the description of the job; I'll use rate code 1 for being a day job
Then in the description box I will enter Winona State
Basic English
John Smith, who is the student.
My 'Start Time' is 11:00 am and the 'End Time'
Because I have a 2 hour minimum will be 1:00 pm.
Now I need to enter my travel time from Winona back to St. Paul.
Rate Code 6; 'Travel' in the description box and the 'Start Time' will be 1:00 pm
And the 'End Time' is 2:30 pm.
Once you have entered all of the jobs you have worked in this billing cycle
You will notice this box will automatically show how many hours you worked and what your
'Total Billed' amount is for each week.
