Hello! My name is Lindsay on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip I’m going to be showing you
how to make the last seam line for the rod pocket casing and also we’re going to be
stuffing the valance. I’ve already put straight pins into where we’re going to make the
last seam from the first seam that you made an inch from the top, we’re going to take
your measuring tape and put it where the seam is and go 1 ½ inch down and put a straight
pin and we’re going to that all the way down. And then we’re going to sew it and between
these two lines is where the rod is
going to go. Now that we’ve sewn our seam for the rod pocket casing, normally you would
hang it on the wall and then stuff it but for video purposes I went ahead and stuck
the rod in it right here to stuff it. It holds it up a lot better when you already have the
rod through it, you’re going to take tissue paper you’re going to kind of crumble it
in a loose ball and you’re just going to kind of let it sit at the bottom. So when
you hang it up on your wall it should have kind of a fullness effect and you can bunch
it up and you can play with it until you get it the way you want it to look.
