Greg Foot: Hey guys, so this is the fifth explanation video for the 12 Explosions of
Christmas. I'm Greg - Mike Sansom: and I'm Mike!
Greg: and this is five flaming Santas! Yeah, normally these are inflated and used as garden
decorations but no we're using them for explosions! Yes!
Mike: I can't wait. Greg: So we filled them with two gases. We
filled them with hydrogen and oxygen. Mike: Can I press the button now?
Greg: No! Don't press the button! It's called hydrox. Now what are we gonna make in this
reaction? Mike: Right we're gonna make water, just out
of hydrogen and oxygen! Greg: So water is H2O. So what we've done
is put in twice the amount of hydrogen as we have oxygen. We call that the right flammable
mix, the right stoichiometric mix to give us the best explosion.
Mike: Can I press the button now? Greg: I think we're ready. I think we'll go
that way, obviously don't try this at home! Mike: 3, 2, 1 Ah...
Greg: Didn't work. Mike: 3, 2, 1... BOOM
