Hey guys! Grace here with another episode of "Grace's Faces". I'm here with my best
friend and makeup maestro, Marc. What's up?
And we're here at my best friend, Mamrie Hart's place.
If you don't know Mamrie, she is a Southern spitfire with a HUGE personality.
But the girl does not know how to put on foundation. So today, Marc and I are surprising her with
mini makeover! It's Grace's Faces. Grace's Faces. I take
my friends' faces and I make them better. She might be asleep in the tub.
I hope she's okay. HEEEYYY.
I ordered three prostitutes. Surprise! We're giving your a mini makeover!
Grace, you emailed me about this, like two days ago.
Anyway, because we're invading your house, I got you a housewarming gift. It's lip gloss!
Oh gosh. That color looks so good on me. "Black Out"
Get in here! This is where Marc and I find out what's going
on with your makeup. You tell me. I don't know.
I tweeted out for people to ask questions about your makeup and I have some of them
right here. @jayred3000: "What do you drink while applying
makeup?" I think it depends on where you're going out,
you know? If you're going to do a dramatic look because
you're going to a *** mystery party, then maybe a double-malt scotch.
But if you're going to a monster jam, Natty Lite.
Yup. Classy.
@laurenbrabbiner: "How can I actually cover blemishes? I've tried so many concealers and
brushes, but I just can't do it." I haven't been able to find a concealer that
works for me. Because I don't really get like a lot of zits
but I'm constantly red. Like, I'm a drinker. I'm Irish.
I'm always embarrassed of my actions. And I don't really know how to cover it up
without, you know, painting on a geisha face. So we're going to actually discuss today what
products you can use, foundations and concealers, to tone down that redness.
So it sounds like you guys have a game plan so I'm gonna let you guys play.
Mamrie, can I use your bathroom? Yes, please.
We were talking about your problem, which is redness in the skin.
So we have a solution, and that's a yellow-toned concealer and foundation.
Now what that allows for us to do put on a light layer, just to give the tint some warmth
and a tint, and it instantly corrects the redness.
Then we're not piling your face on with more and more makeup.
Cool! So while Mamrie's getting her makeup done,
we're going to go through her sh*t. Let's do it!
So we're going to start with a corrector, and a corrector is going to take care of the
darkness immediately. Thank you, I had a "Golden Girls" marathon,
and it is super dark down there. My favorite!
I know! I knew we were kindred. Then we're going to follow it with a yellow-toned
concealer. And you're going to layer it just right over
the top. Take a look.
Whoa! Rachel McAdams.
Addams Family. We were separated at birth.
So now we're going to even you out. Great.
What?! Have you found a time machine?
Speaking of looking great...hey guys. Can I top you off?
Cheers me. Cheers!
I'm going to use the bathroom, be right back. What did you eat?
Instead of using a full coverage foundation, we're gonna use a lightweight tinted moisturizer.
Oh cool! You're not looking for how light or how dark
you want it. You're looking for how well it blends into
the skin while correcting the redness. Let's make an official "Grace's Faces"cocktail.
Soy sauce. Hot sauce.
For any of those little redness areas that are peeking through still, we're gonna use
a Touch-Up Stick. And this is just going to target those areas.
If I get a little redder after I have a few drinks, which is very rare. I rarely indulge.
Will this cover it? This is probably hold up, but just in case,
it's best to keep this on hand with you because it just melts into the skin so much better
than if you were to take a powder with you and put on layers and layers of powder.
Smoked paprika. A crack of black pepper.
Pickle juice. So all that's left is a little powder to take
-- THANK GOD!
Aren't you guys done yet? Who's hungry? I went in your freezer and all
you had was fake bacon. I use those as eye compresses.
You are disgusting. Keep going.
You a raw dawg, Helbig. That's why she keeps going to the bathroom.
So last, we're gonna set your foundation and concealer with some powder.
Because it is a yellow powder, we can use it along different parts of your face and
it will just tone down the redness even more. I forgot where I was for a second.
I'm just going to use a light dusting of this pink retouching powder.
Now look, you look amazing. Thank you.
Now all you need is a little lip gloss. Oh, perfect!
I do look really good. I wanna see! I wanna see!
Look at my face! Mamrie, your face looks great!
Marc fixed it! How dare you?
So Mamrie, what did you learn? I learned for my redness to combat it with
yellow, which I had never heard before, which is awesome.
Colors! And I also learned that instead of doing a
regular foundation which takes over the whole face, to do a tinted moisturizer and then
you're moisturizing and evening things out while not losing my beautiful rosy cheeks.
I need to embrace 'em! Marc gave you so many gift.
Well, Mamrie Hart, thank you so much for being here. You guys, don't forget to subscribe
to Mamrie's channel, You Deserve A Drink. And leave us a comment down below on how you
think Mamrie looks, because I think she looks pretty great, y'all.
Don't be a hater. I agree.
But now we have more best friends to make over.
Subscribe to I love makeup! And don't look at your liquor cabinet because
something bad happened in there. It's Grace's Faces. Grace's Faces. I take
my friends' faces and I make them better. Hey guys, so today I'm going to be doing this
bold fall look and I really wanted to show you guys how you can wear bold bright colors
even if it is Fall. Today's beauty challenge is called "The Art
of the Kiss". Working with what you already have, natural
beauty, we're gonna go ahead and do a bit of a beachy bronzed look.
This is taking me to the wedge...of glory. Did Marc give you a wedgie?
