When the group stands in front of me and they realize I can’t see anything
Then I can feel the pressure, to break through the cliché within these two hours.
So afterwards they certainly have the feeling:
“Alright, actually he contributed something. He enriched the tour for me.”
Maybe my own optic impression would be totally different.
But I try to compensate that by descriptions from five people instead of only one.
I also read a lot in the internet. All those reviews, which are in German or in English.
And when I have heard ten different opinions that way on one specific work -
some optic impressions, and also emotions or just how people judged it -
then, through these ten people that were in between the artwork and me,
I gain some kind of collective view.
I am always in this process, that I let things be described again and I find it interesting,
what kind of specific aspects different people tell me.
Are you actually both there?
Especially with the artworks I like the most,
it doesn’t matter whether they can be seen or not.
Because it is mostly about the ideas, thoughts, effects, and also about feelings that develop.
So nature is something you don’t need to be able to see. You need to be able to experience it.
You know nature. You don‘t need to be able to see nature, although many people think that.
