Hi there, I'm down in Rosa Khutor today and it's a pretty special day.
I don't know if you know my history but last year when I was in Russia I got a bit of an
accident and ended up in the hospital for a week or so and this was my room-mate, Svetlana.
So we're connecting again today to say Hi under much better circumstances and she really,
really helped me through my week in the hospital because the nurses didn't speak any English
and Svetlana at least, speaks some. So she would help me out and call the nurses in when
I needed something. So, it's really nice to re-connect with her
and I'm actually going to give her a little present, a Canadian shirt, which I'll dig
out of my bag right now. It's still in plastic but this is one of our team shirts.
So, I think she's going to come and watch me race in the GS and she can wear the shirt
and cheer for team Canada because I don't have any direct Russian competition in my
category, so she can cheer for me and totally feel good about it.
So, anyways, I'm gonna leave it at that. Bye.
Your welcome. See you later.
I think she's going to come and watch me racing the G S
