I am currently working as a PHA (Peer Health Advocate)
in the Health and Wellness department here at Gallaudet.
This is Breast Cancer Awareness month
and today we are having a Pink Day event.
We're asking everyone to wear pink
to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
We are selling a pin for a dollar and people can wear it
to show their support as well.
Our poster lists the names of those people
who passed away from breast cancer
and honors those who have survived breast cancer.
We ask people to write down the name of anyone they know
who has battled breast cancer.
We'll display it for the rest of the month.
Gallaudet supports the health and wellness of the community.
This program collaborates with the Peer Health Advocates
who get involved and work with other students on campus.
It's important to have students helping each other
and this is something that Gallaudet is really good at.
Pink celebrates breast cancer survivors!
