Hello. Welcome to KBS' Pit-a-pat Korean!
Hello everyone! My name is Es, i'm 17 years old and i'm from the Philippines!
Nice to meet you~ *o*
Today, we're gonna talk about KOREAN EXPRESSIONS we usually hear in K-dramas or by Korean stars.
Interesting don't you think?
And the Korean drama that will help us with today's lesson is my all-time favorite and
one of the best dramas I have ever watched..
Can you guess the title? Let's find out..
두근두근! ♥ ♥ ♥
Full House is a 2004 South Korean television series starring Rain and Song Hye Gyo.
The romantic comedy drama is based on the manhwa, Full House by Woon Soo-yoon and aired on KBS2
from July 14 to September 4, 2004 on Wednesdays and Thursdays with a total of 16 episodes.
The series did not only gather many awards but also aired in 12 different countries proving
that it was an international hit!
Being a K-drama addict and a fan of Korea, I always come across with the words, "Hwaiting!"
and "Aja!".
But what does these two words actually mean?
"Hwaiting!" sometimes written as "Paiting!" is a Korean expression commonly used to encourage
or cheer someone up.
In English, it is like saying "Let's go!" or "Goodluck!" to someone
endeavor of some kind.
And "Aja Aja!" or simply, "Aja!" is similar
to "Let's do it!"
It is usually said before or after saying hwaiting..
These two expressions is accompanied with a cute action simply by pumping your fist
like this..
Easy right? Now you can brighten up someone's day with the help of these expressions!
Aja Aja, Hwaiting!
Till next time, bye~! ^o^
