Today we are going to make sweet corn idli.
This idli is very tasty and nutritious.
So come, let’s start making sweet corn idli.
Sweet corn - 2
Semolina (sooji) - 1 cup
Curd (Dahi) - 1 c up
Peas (matar) - 1 cup
oil - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves (curry patta) - 10 to 12
Ginger (adrak) Grinded - 1 inch
Green chilly (Hari Mirch) finely chopped - 2
Mustard or sarson seeds (rai) - ½ tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Salt (namak) - 1 tsp or as per taste
Eno fruit salt - 1 tsp
To make sweet corn idli , we will firstly kadukas the corns in this way.
If we do not have sweet corn then we can take sweet corn grains and put them in the mixer and coarsely grind them.
Our sweet corn are now ready.
Now take a big bowl.
Add curd and sooji in the bowl.
Mix it well.
Now add the sweet corn pulp to the mixture.
Mix it thoroughly.
Add salt, ginger and green chilly.
Roast the mustard seeds and pulses and add them to the mixture.
Put 2 tsp oil in a pan.
Once the oil is heated add mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal to the pan.
Fry it till it gets a little brown.
The mustard seeds are now roasted.
Now add curry leaves.
Turn off the flame.
The spices that we have prepared add them to the mixture.
Mix everything well.
Add the peas to the mixture and mix well.
We have added peas in the mixture, you can add carrots or cauliflower as well.
Cover it and keep it aside for about 10 minutes. Then we will prepare the idli.
We have put the batter for 10-12 minutes.
Our batter has fluffed out and is ready.
Now we will make idli from it.
We can take a cooker or any bigoni in which our idli stand gets fixed.
We have taken a bigoni and added 2 cups of water.
Now we will fill the idli stand.
We will put a little oil in the mould and make it smooth.
Make all the moulds smooth in the same way.
Add eno salt to the mixture and mix well.
Do not mix it too much.
The salt has been mixed.
We can see that our mixture is now fluffy and we can fill it in the mixture.
Fill the mixture in this way.
We will fill and prepare all the moulds in the same way.
Finally arrange the moulds.
Now put the stand in the bigoni.
The water is boiled.
Cook it on high flame.
Cover it fully, so that it is not left open from any side.
Keep a heavy object on top of it so that the steam does not come out.
We have kept a rolling board on the top.
Cook the idli for 10-12 minutes and then check.
Let's check the idli.
Our idli is now ready.
Now take out the idli stand.
Very fluffy idli is made.
Let it cool before taking out the idlis from the mould.
Then we'll take out the idlis from the mould.
The idli is cool now so remove it from the moulds.
With the help of a knife, cut the idli from the sides this way.
Our sweet corn idli is now ready.
Very spongy and delicious idlis are prepared.
Serve sweet corn idli along with coriander ketchup (dhaniye ki chutney)
, peanut sauce (Moongfali ke dane ki chutney) or coconut sauce.
