Hi! This Joyce of Major League Trim on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, we'll be
talking about assessing your client before the haircut. This is Nate here. Nate has curly
hair and he's looking for a low maintenance haircut. He's looking for something that he
can easily wash and wear with very little product. To start him off, I'm going to rinse
him out. You want to make sure the temperature of the shampoo isn't too hot or too cold.
He also told me earlier that he has oily hair, so we want to make sure that we get the proper
shampoo for him, for his skin type and his hair type. You want to thoroughly rinse his
hair. Make sure you get everything without getting water in his ears. Then we'll go with
American Crew. This is American Crew shampoo for normal to oily hair. Make sure you emulsify
it in your fingers while your hands are wet. You want to massage the scalp properly. If
you need extra shampoo, feel free to do so. You want to make sure you get all the pressure
points in his scalp to make sure that he's comfortable. You want him to be as comfortable
and relaxing as possible. This is normally the client's favorite part of the haircut.
This is where they get to relax and this is where they start to be comfortable with their
stylist.
