Hi, I'm Tom and I'm here with CertTest today to talk about their training
curriculum and how it's different here than it at really many other shops and
and really what makes CertTest a special place to train.
My personal experience here started about four years ago
taking information security course and
the thing that really amazed me about it was their ability to take very
complex
very seemingly difficult to condense topics
such as how the world trade organization breaks down and is related to things like
NIST National Institute of Standards
or Common Criteria or the list is countless.
All these things they can discuss and make very simple. Encryption and
things of that nature.
And the experience you get when you take a class here
really is fantastic.
I have sent a number of people, friends and and folks on my team to training from
CertTest
across a couple of the curriculum they train here and always the response has
been the same.
Extreme gratitude for having the ability to come in and take the class the
Instructors here are top-notch. They are the people that wrote the books. They have
the experience and background.
And the thing that really strikes me the most
is they're not here to help you pass a test
at that's a very convenient side effect and that's something that's always a
part of the training.
But they're really here to get the knowledge inside your head
so that you can use it in a functional way it's appreciated by your boss,
your peers, the folks you work with,
and the ability to take it back to your work place and make something useful out of it.
I've recommended CertTest now to half a dozen folks.
Every single one of them that's ever come in and taken
the training here whether it's for individual contributor work or whether it
was for management of an environment,
whether was project management based information security based
it doesn't matter the purpose why they came for the class
the class always seems to somehow magically be perfectly suited for that
individual.
Some other classes are very small 5-6 people some other classes are larger
twenty-plus people.
But one of the things that's truly amazing here at CertTest is their ability
to always make it feel like you're the only person that class
and the curriculum was designed specifically for you. I don't know that I
could recommend a better place to train.
One of the other things I
really like and appreciate about CertTest this is the genuine care that you get
from the instructors here.
They are truly knowledgeable folks and your time with them doesn't end
at the end of the prescribed period, be it a five day class or whatever the time
is.
The last person I sent to a class here is one of the people on my team
and he spent more than a month meeting with the instructor
for at least once a week just to sit down and talk through
the things that he learned, what new questions he has. After he came back to
the office and began implementing right away
if it hit a stumbling block or wasn't quite sure how to address something
he was able to reach out to his instructor and get good advice on how
either our environment was unique or how perhaps he had misinterpreted something
that was taught in the class.
And the ability to very quickly turn that around into something useful
that was able to make things better at the office for me was tremendous. I can't
recommend that enough.
From my team I sent is extremely new to the information security space, he's one of
the junior guys on my team.
And while he's got an amazing technical background. His experience
is very small. He's new to the field. He is
extremely junior and after it attending this class
what he learned from and how excited he was about it and his
immediate ability to return to the office and produce
higher quality work truly amazed me. I took exactly the same class a couple
years ago with more than a decade of experience managing a team
of 15 and when I came back my class the knowledge
and usefulness that was transferred to me from it was
just as impactful as someone who's only been doing that work for a year or two.
One of the questions that I think you'll get a lot is
who should attend classes with CertTest? Their classes here have
an amazing ability to really focus
on whatever it is that you need to learn, how you need to learn it.
That's kind of a vague statement but what I mean is if you come in with the intent
to learn
say project management because you are a PM and you've got some projects you need
to drive.
When you come in take your classes they very much seem to be built specifically
for that purpose.
On the same token if you come in as a manager of PM's or a manager of information
security or people leader of some sort,
again it just feels like the class was built for you and for that purpose.
Their ability to reach any audiences is truly something
special and worth coming.
There's a number of training facilities that I've been to across multiple
verticals
private, public, government. One thing that
I really think needs to be made clear is that CertTest is above and
beyond all of those.
I would recommend CertTest training to anyone.
Entry-level, Senior-level, Management, Individual contributor.
If you're looking to learn something about any of the spheres of influence
they teach here.
Their instructors are the best. Their facilities are top notch and
most importantly
they are always willing and able to deliver knowledge to you in a way that's
instantly usable in the real world.
