hello everybody well into my show affordable kitchen
I am GUS from the nowadays channel and this shows is
where I bring you guys different types of recipes for yours different types of
dietary restrictions always a way to try and keep
everything healthier in my life I just
decided that you know I'm not going to become a vegan
I'm not going to be following things specifically I'm gonna follow
everything that I see healthy any of those diets
cuz all of them has some contributions makes my diet
and I will going to use all of it Well since last actually
It has been more then a Friday that I recorded the last show
but since last Friday I already lost some weight and I don't know if you can
notice and just following the track only keep dieting
and of course trying to descover new recipes so we can bring you guys healthy recipes
and low calories, low everything so you can
you know feed yourself feed your family better
food every day If you guys saw my video last Friday
I made a wonderful Half & Half whole wheat bread recipe
This recipe is like, it's very
basic bread so it's wonderful, it's a wonderful recipe
you can play around a lot with that recipe so this week
like I told you before I'm gonna be me making cheesecake recipe
so that thing it's veganism not the
only dietary restrictions that actually would
turn cheesecake which is the most delicious thing in the world
inaccessible there are lots of people nowadays that
are lactose intolerant or they
are like Jewish people and they "can't drink the milk of
the mother with the meat of the son" something like that, there are so many different
cultures and
so many different reasons that people don't drink milk
or don't consume anithing from milk so I decided to
make it easier for everybody and bring this recipe up
after I acctualy went through several different
types of recipe to put together this recipe
I kind of found a lot of recipes that are very similar
pretty much the same recipe, but you know in the in the end of the day it's a very
simple recipe
and that's why I am making on this show I'm I named this recipe
vegan cheesecake number eight because took me 8
different recipes to make this recipe
and it's amazing how many recipes you have to go through and how many
ingredients you have to, you know, vote out
of the list to make the most simple basic cheesecake
that you can ever have, during this week I got a lot of reviews
and thank you for that and I'm
including all my family, hi mom so
the thing is, everybody was complaining that I didn't
put the ingredients in the video It's gonna make it a little longer
maybe. maybe not, I don't know, but this timeI gonna make
space in the video to actually put the recipe
put all the ingredients in the video just to make it
easier for anybody that is actually on the phone or a tablet or something on
the computer
on a kitchen and is pausing as they go
and actually making the recipe with me, I like that idea so
let's get started
This is
very easy recipe to make but there is one preparation that
you have to do for hand is
soaking the cashews at least three hours before starting the recipe that's the only
thing that really have to plan ahead
and its gonna soften up the cashews so
turn into a more smooth paste and than when they are
soaked for three hours or more are you gonna soak
your pitted dates on warm water
warm water link probably 100º Fahrenheit
to you 120º Fahrenheit which it should be
around 50º Celsius no hotter then that so for this recipe I do recommend you
to weigh the wallnuts at
113 grams of walnuts this is to be sure that the amount of walnuts because sometimes
walnuts can be tricky to measure by volume
okay of course, after 10 minutes
soaking the pitted dates in warm water you gonna see
a different coloration on the pitted dates in and what is telling you is that
that is moist and probably very tender All you have to do now
drain the pitted dates, squeezing a little bit just to be sure that you are
not adding extra water to the recipe
and putting them straight in the food processor bowl
and processing until it's turned into sticky
small pieces, the trick here is to watch the sides of the bowl
when nothing is jumping around anymore is when it's actually ready
and this is how it should look like should stick to the sides
of the bowl like that, remove the
pitted dates from your food processor
Now you gonna add the walnuts to your food processor
and don't mind actually cleaning it
because you know you gonna mix it all together in end, it just to make
easier to access the walnuts so you can have a more homogeneous consistency
and this is the grain, you see it's not very thin
but definitely more manageable because we gonna process it
again,you gonna returned the pitted dates
inside of the bowl of a food processor and and you gonna beat it
until completely pureed and mixed up
this step
usually takes around two minutes
one indication that the recipes getting ready is when
the mixture change color and the blades start
spining by itself on the bottom, and this is the consistency that want
it's all easy to squeeze
together and we are done with this part of the recipe and I gonna share
a trick with you guys, about how to proceed with putting this recipe together
this cheesecake together
I cut some pieces of parchment paper or wax paper
and put in bottom, so it's easy to pull them back
up after it gets frozen all together, but of course this stap
is completely optional, spray some cooking oil
on the pan of course you can use the coconut oil
that you have for this recipe if you don't have any
and after that all you have to do is is to place one teaspoon
of the batter in every each up the cups and press
them down with the tips of your fingers
of course I recommend you to use a flat surface round object to just
squeeze it down flattening up
evening any imperfections or holes that you might have
there because it just looks better
and you're sure it's not gonna desintegrate
and of course for the rest of the recipe
all you have to do is to put the rest of the ingredients
in the list, inside of the blender and blended until it's
smooth and on this part I used agave nectar
which I had handy a but of course you can use
maple syrup or even if you're not vegan *** you just
like trying new recipes to be healthier
you can use honey as well it turns out the same but the difference is that
honey sometime and bring some of the fowers
flavor into that batter so you going to actually taste
a little bit of those flowers inside of your cheesecake
which is not a bad thing, so I did try with honey and I actually notice that
difference
just remembered that this part you have to blen until
smooth I would say that takes around three minutes blending
some times a little slower some times a little faster
It all depends on how fast your blender is
and after you pour inside of the pan
and freeze it for 3 hours you are DONE! You made cheesecake
vegan cheesecake which is better, believe me this
cheesecake is delicious and of course you can decorate
as you please I am of course trying lose wheigh so I stayed away
from caramel and stuff like that
but you can definitely put several different ingredients
your like walnuts, almonds, vegan chocolate shavings
or any type of berries like strawberries
anything really, this is just the base for
any type of cheesecake you wanna make I recommend you guys to remove this recipe
from the freezer 10 minutes before you gonna serve it
and if you don't know evactily when you gonna serve it
just keeping inside of the refrigerator and you should be fine
because this recipe actually holds very well
