Greg Foot: Hey guys, this is the ninth explanation video for the 12 Explosions of Christmas.
I'm Greg Mike Sansom: and I'm Mike!
Greg: And this is nine reindeers a'rocketing! Yes, so er, Santa manages to get around the
whole of the world delivering presents to what, seven billion people? In one night!
So we thought we'd find out how he does it. Mike's theory is pixie magic dust!
Mike: Well, I've gone with explosives! Greg: We're going with explosives! So what
have we done here Mike? There looks to be something shoved up their, um...
Mike: Yep, anyway. There's some rockets that we've, er, attached to the reindeer. And the
sledge! So hopefully we can go faster than Santa Claus, and get around the planter in
less than a night... Greg: So there is a lot of very very big rocket
motor inside each of our reindeer, shall we say. Newton's Third Law says that for every
reaction there's an equal and opposite reaction. So the action will be the rocket motor shooting
out that direction, and the equal and opposite reaction should be our reindeer going up in
this kind of, general, direction. Mike: We hope!
Greg: Yeah! We hope! So it's literally as simple as that!
Mike: Let's do it! Greg: Yeah, let's do it!
RUN! RUN MIKE! Mike: I CAN'T!
Greg: What happened?! Mike: I don't think we beat Santa.
Greg: And you definitely heard them all fire! Mike: Yeah shall we go and have a look?
Greg: Assess the damage! There's a bit of a reindeer... But er, they didn't go did they?
Mike: They didn't really go very far, no. The sledge moved!
Greg: It just tipped straight over. Well it was a complicated build wasn't it? We didn't
really know if it would work. Mike: We've kind of injured some reindeer,
I don't think that one is coming back! Greg: The thing is Mike, we're only on day
nine. 12 was great, 11 was great, 10 was great. Mike: They can only get better.
Greg: Nine wasn't too good. But hey, Mike: It was a lot of fun!
Greg: It was nine reindeers, plummeting!
