Picnics, parties, and barbeques, oh my!
This month's Active, More Powerful You challenge is
to make healthy food choices during these summer months,
when potlucks reign supreme and healthy eating can sometimes
fall to the wayside.
Summer picnics and get-togethers are often full of foods like
fried chicken, hotdogs and hamburgers, and potato salad-
foods that may be delicious but may not be your best choices.
Paying attention to your food choices when
you're celebrating can be difficult-but it's worth it!
There are things you can do to help keep your healthy
lifestyle on course and still enjoy these fun occasions with
your friends and family - like choosing smaller
serving size of your picnic favorites and
making some changes to favorite recipes to make them healthier.
