today we will prepare Til Namkeen Puri which you will surely like.
ingredients required:
atta(wheat flour) - 1 cup
til (sesame seeds) - 2 tbsp
salt - add to taste or 1/4 tsp
oil - 1 tbsp
oil - to fry puri
pour oil and salt into atta and blend.
now add til
and mix all of the ingredients rigorously till they are inseparable.
using 1/4 cup of lukewarm water knead a hard dough for puri.
cover the dough and keep it aside for 20 minutes allowing it to ferment.
heat oil.
apply little oil on your hand and knead the dough for 2 minutes making it smooth.
now break off small pieces from the dough.
roll them into ball and press.
flatten the pieces with a rolling pin to make puris with a diameter of 3- 31/2 cms.
to check if the oil has heated put a small piece of dough in it,if the oil is hot then the piece will eise up to the surface else it will sink.
we require hot oil to fry puris so heat oil some more.
till then roll 2-3 more puris.
put puri into hot oil an dpress lightly with a frying laddle to make the puri puffy.
once both sides of the puri turm brown take it out and place it on a plate.
soft til namkeen puri is ready.
serve them with chutney, pickle or your favourite vegetable dish.
