Relaxation Meditation with Dr. Brian Weiss. Hello, this is Dr. Brian Weiss, and I'm going
to spend this time in this YouTube broadcast to introduce and conduct a brief meditation
and relaxation. Not a regression. There's a longer one online, and you can find that
through my website and in other ways, and on YouTube. But a brief one, five or six or
seven minutes, just because not everybody has the time to take thirty or thirty-five
minutes to do the regression. So, to my Facebook followers and Twitter followers and YouTube
followers, here's a special meditation relaxation exercise for you. Don't do this, of course,
if you're driving a car or using any machinery. This is to be done in a safe and relaxed place.
So when you have the time, when you could just put aside your attention, your everyday
mind, and go into the relaxed state, that's when to do this. And all of my exercises and
relaxations begin with the eyes closed. So let your eyes gently close. As you do this,
finding a very comfortable place to sit or to lie down, loosen anything if it's too tight-fitting,
getting very comfortable, with your eyes gently closing, just focus on your breathing for
a few moments. Let your breathing be wonderfully relaxed, yoga-type breathing. Use your imagination.
Imagine that you can actually breathe out the tensions and stresses that you store in
your body, and that you can breathe in the beautiful energy that's all around you. As
you do this, relax all of your muscles. I'll just name a few muscle groups. Feel them relaxing.
Relax completely now the muscles of your face and your jaw, totally relaxed. Relax the muscles
of your neck, relaxing, letting go of all tightness and all tension in these muscle
groups. Relax your shoulders. Sometimes people who carry too much responsibility in their
lives, the weight of the world on their shoulders, have too much tension in their shoulder muscles.
So relax your neck, your shoulders, and now your arms, as your breathing stays so peaceful
and so relaxed. And next, relax the large muscles of your back, both the upper back
and your lower back. Letting go of tightness and tension. Going deeper and deeper relaxed
with each breath. Next, relax the muscles of your stomach and abdomen, so that your
breathing stays so comfortable, so peaceful, so relaxed. Lastly, relax the muscles of your
legs, so that only the chair or the floor or the wall, or wherever you are sitting or
lying, supports you. Let go. You can go deeper and deeper. It's very safe, and it's very
healthy. It's healthy to let go of stresses and tensions, to relax deeply, to find that
inner core of peacefulness and calm that is so healthy for you. And so, relaxing deeply,
you reach a state of better health. Next, imagine or visualize a beautiful light above
your head. Imagine that this is a healing light, because it will get rid of illness
and disease everywhere in your body. A relaxing light, a deepening light, a beautiful light.
You can choose the color or colors of this wonderful healing light. And imagine this
light coming into your body now through the top of your head, illuminating your brain
and spinal cord and healing these tissues, and flowing down your body, this beautiful
light, as if it were a beautiful wave. A wave of healing light, touching every cell, every
fiber, every organ of your body with peace and healing energy and calm. And the light
flows down and fills your heart, your beautiful heart, healing your heart at all levels. The
light flows down and fills all of the abdominal organs, healing these and deepening your level
even more. The light is very strong; just imagine this, wherever you need it for healing.
The rest of the light flows down both legs, until it reaches to your feet, bathing your
body in its healing energy. Next, imagine or feel or visualize the light also completely
surrounding the outside of your body as well, as if you are wrapped in an beautiful bubble
or cocoon of light, healing you completely and deepening your level even more. Now imagine,
as this light completely fills your body and surrounds your body, that you're in a place
of perfect peace for you. For many people, it may be a beautiful garden, a seashore,
a room in their house. Wherever it is for you, it is a safe, beautiful, peaceful place.
Imagine yourself in this beautiful place, still filled with the light, still surrounded
by the light, going deeper and deeper relaxed in this place of peace. And in this place
of peace, in this place of calm, tranquility, serenity, you can go even deeper. Relax completely,
now letting all of the stress and tensions that fill your body leave completely. All
your muscles completely relaxed as you rest, filled with the light, in this beautiful and
safe place. And this is not the only time you can come here. Whenever you need some
relief from stress and tension, you now know the way within. This is how to do it. Stay
as long as you want. But to come back now, focus on your breathing, breathing so peacefully,
so calmly. And then, when you are ready, gently open your eyes and you will be all the way
back, in complete control of body and mind, feeling wonderful, feeling great. Filled with
a soft, peaceful, healing energy. You'll be awake, alert, and in complete control, but
so much more peaceful than before. So when you are ready, open your eyes. You will be
all the way back, in complete control, feeling wonderful.
