Hi,
Today I'm going to show you how to make this nailart.
These nails are created with Water Marble technique.
I've shown this technique before, but I really wanted to show you this valentine tutorial.
To create this nailart I've used the following items
a cup of water, a towel
Scottish tape, but you can use other kinds of tape as well
I also used a large kind of toothpick
a dotting tool
red, hart shaped rhine-stones
and two special water-marble nail polishes.
These are brand-less.
They do look a bit like the small Konad stamping polishes, but they are not alike.
And today I'm going to show you if these special polished do work, and what I think of them.
So come and have a look.
As a start I've applied the OPI Natural Nail base coat on my nails
On the base coat I used the OPI Steady as She Rose, form the pirates collection.
I applied one layer to have a better end result
Steady as She Rose is a soft pink cream polish.
One by one I let a drop of the polish on the water surface
You see the polish immediately spreads out.
These polishes are brand less and are especially for water marble.
I haven't tried to use them as a normal polish, but I definitely am going to.
When the circles are finished I take the toothpick and am going to draw lines from the outside in.
So you don't need to have the polish up to the edge of the cup
So, now I start drawing the lines. You have to do this very gently.
Now I've drawn four. And will place for more halfway.
And to get a nicer center I sting the toothpick a bit deeper then when drawing the lines.
This connects all line nicely.
Now I've taped all of my fingers so that my skin will be free of polish.
Then I dip my finger in the water.
And here the result.
Now you have you finger in the water.
You can blow on the paint in the water to have it dry a bit faster. Then you can easily remove the remainder.
And there he is.
When you've done all of you nails we start to remove the rest. To do this we use a cotton swab with nail polish remover.
First I remove the biggest parts.
Later I will remove the smaller parts with a small brush because this has to be done very precisely.
Now I remove the polish on my cuticles.
To make my nails really valentine I'm going to place a rhine-stone in the middle of the drawing.
I have these heart shaped stones, and I found these very appropriate for this design.
I place a little bit of top coat where I want the stone.
I dip the dotting tool in the top coat and pick up the stone.
And place it on my nail.
Once you've placed all stones on your nails the last step is of course a finish with top coat
This is the final result!
You might already know I'm not a big fan of water marble,
But I must say these special water marble polishes really worked out!
I never had polishes which we're easier to use for water marble, So I can really recommend these polishes.
