To become an Optometrist, you must first complete undergraduate course of study, that is a four
year degree, and then a college or university. Upon completion of your bachelor's degree,
you'll apply to Optometry school. Now, Optometry is not a medical degree. Opthalmology is the
medical degree, or the medical specialty that focuses on the eye. Optometry is particularly
the clinical diagnosis of eye problems, vision problems, and corrective applications such
as glasses and contact lenses. Optometrists do need to complete a graduate course of study,
and upon completing their graduate course of study and certification, then they can
practice as an Optometrist.
