Hi, this is Mark Kneeskern, on behalf of Expert Village. And in this clip I'm going to talk
about transferring your final design onto news print for cutting and screen printing.
Once you get your design completed, and you have your bold idea set up. You need to start
sketching it onto the news print. First you want to start sketching lightly. Just to be
sure that you have your orientation correct and that your size is accurate. And slowly
increase the size of your lines, until they are nice and thick from screen printing. You
don't want too many thin lines, because sometimes they won't show up, or because sometimes its
just too intricate, and people won't be able to see it clearly on your shirt. Once you
get your design pretty well figured out, using your pencil, you'll want to switch to marker,
an mark out the final cutting design. And you'll want to just think about when you'll
be screen printing this and how its going to look on your shirt. So you don't get too
intricate, or too distracted by little details. You want it nice an thick and bold. And that
is how you transfer a design onto newsprint for screen printing.
