Before we get started we want to talk about limbering up your body so you don't pull something.
You don't want to work and tell somebody that you've pulled your back out playing ping pong
they'll laugh at you. So what you want to do is before you get down and start hitting
the ball, you might want to just loosen your arms up by doing some circles with your arms
and you're not using your left hand if you're right handed obviously, but it just is easier
to be able to loosen everything up so that when you're twisting or turning everything
is limber, it's not just your arm that you're using. So a lot of times I'll do the arm motion
but also I like to get a good tripod with my legs and do some upper torso spinning,
back and forth back and forth, not too far twisting too far because obviously you could
pull something that way but just getting used to that motion because a lot of your shots,
the top of your body is going to be twisting and the lower part of your body is going to
be stationary. You want to be able to make sure that you're stretched out pretty good
as far as the side to side twisting goes. One other thing you might be able to just
pull your knees just enough to pull the back of your hamstring and a little bit of your
thigh muscle to loosen them up because if you play more than one game, your legs are
going to start to feel it after a while. The constant pressure of trying to keep your balance
and moving in and moving back and the side to side motion. You want to limit the motion
as much as you can because like i said it's going to pull you out of position for your
next shot which is going to be coming at you before you know it.
