Hi, my name is Payton. I'm the manager of Airsoft Hero located in the historic district
of Hampden in Baltimore, Maryland. And I'm Joshua Meyer. I'm the tech here at Airsoft
Hero. Our store features AEGs, accessories, apparel. We also buy used guns, accessories
and apparel and we also do quality tech work. Any details you can find on our website at
www.airsofthero.com. And we'll be talking to you about airsoft. Now, the most important
thing about Airsoft isn't the kind of gun you have. It's not the kind of gear that you
roll with. It's Airsoft safety, it's as simple as that. Safety cannot be stressed enough
in this game. There's a lot of people that have been seriously hurt, like, without wearing
eye protection. And honestly, they end up losing an eye. Along with safety is hydration.
Whether you're playing in the wintertime or the summertime, if you feel thirst, that means
you're dehydrated. Between every round, even if you're out there in the woods for a long
round. Have a camel bag, have a canteen, have something to keep yourself hydrated. That's
what's most important. As far as safety gear goes, one good thing to use, if you're over
18, is full seal goggles. They're sealed all the way around. If a BB hits my face, it will
not enter the goggles, and injure my eyes. This is not something you should use. This
is for target practice, these are shop goggles. If, uh, playing out there with these in the
woods, somebody shoots at you, it's very easy for that BB to get in between your face and
these glasses, and go in your eye, and cause serious damage. If you're under 18, I would
suggest you wear a full seal mask. Not just covering your eyes, covering your entire face
from your jawline all the way around. It's also very important to keep yourself fully
covered. Whether you wear a full shirt, arm sleeves, whatever. Protect your arms. It'll
protect you from bugs, poison ivy, and, uh, BBs breaking skin, if the person happens to
be too close to you. Gloves are also very important. It keeps the gun from tearing up
your hand. It keeps the BBs from tearing up your hands. And it keep the environment from
tearing up your hands as well. Another thing I would suggest would be kneepads. A lot of
times, if you're in the heat of the moment, you're running to cover. You're gonna slide
into cover. That's gonna tear your knees up. The kneepads will protect your knees from
anything that might come at them. One more thing that's good to have. The boots that
you wear should be full length ankle boots. Something to support your ankles so you can't
roll it, sprain an ankle, break an ankle, whatever.
