Hey! The 2012's Malabarize-se rewind has just begun!
Welcome to 2012's Malabarize-se rewind,
this video will be a little longer than usual
because I'll show almost all of them...
the most important videos we did this year.
And they're so many, were more than a hundred videos since May at Malabarize-se 7 00:00:22,208 --> 00:00:25,846 So I hope you stay here, it'll be very interesting!
It all started in May of this year when I was one of the winners
of Youtube Next Up Brasil, was 15 winners
and we earned a cash and 4 days at Google, in São Paulo
with the money I bought everything I needed to start making videos effectively
bought a videocamera, audio recorder, lights and all those stuffs
I did many trips around Brazil, we'll talk about it...
I started making the channel happens as I wish it was already happening,
before May I don't even had a camera.
In May came the Youtube Next Up was fantastic and, besides the money had these four days at google in SP
We met... we could connect with the youtubers's community from Brazil
and it was amazing, an experience like...awesome!
There are a few vlogs here in the channel, but nothing replaces being there at Next Up!
As soon as I got out of Next Up, on google at SP, I came home,
packed my bags
unpacked one of them, then I packed another and drove 350 kilometers to Ribeirão Preto
Para a convenção paulista de malabares e circo, que foi genial! For Juggling and circus and Circus Convention of Sao Paulo, which was brilliant!
But there I was very disturbed, like, so excited !
and were many sleepless nights, so excited about the Malabarize-se,
with the things I wish to happen here in the channel,
that are happening this year, and I couldn't sleep
so I got...I don't know, disturbed!
But, it was amazing, came back here
and started posting the freestyles of the convention of Sao Paulo
which were recorded by Guilherme Boranga and Leonardo Algodão
Thank you, Guys!
the channel started this way, and in those first weeks I was buying equipments
bought a camera, bought the things
and didn't even know how to use a DSLR
Didn't know what was shutter speed, ISO, then I learned all this in basically two weeks
already had some editing ideas, I used to edit on vegas before that...
Then I started editing the videos, to do the stuffs
Started with balls tutorials, and, a little later, when I learned to tinker with cameras
and at this time I already started studying After Effects on Videocopilot.net
.net, "net"
The "Dicas de Fotografia" also helped a lot, there are links in the description, I think it's worth a look
for you those are getting into filmmaking and want to make videos and stuff, I recommend you to take a look
It's pretty good!
Then I started with the balls tutorials, and now we have 21 balls tutorials in the channel
also happened the serie "a trick, a chance", it's an experiment that I was doing at the beggining
it's interesting to look at those old videos because I talked to the camera so lost
and now I talk kind of "dãh", but now is less "dãh" than the beggining, I don't know
I think is interesting to see that
was 11 episodes of "a trick, a chance",
I'm not sure if this serie will return someday or not,
maybe it does, I guess it's something cool
to put here in the channel,
tell me in the comments what do you think...
say in the comments what do you think about everything, I won't ask you to comment all the time
and also happened the first channel's art-video, it was an answer to a challenge of MysteryGuitarMan in Bammo
It's an genious channel, you should check!
Which the challenge was paper, the theme of the challenge was paper
and then I juggled paper balls at "Paper Juggling"
First art-video, juggling everyday things.
Was so cool, it was interesting to create the "Paper Juggling"
It was also my first experience with a DSLR, to regulate things
do it all by myself, but it was something simple to produce,
I created the hole thing, edited...
I didn't edit it in a day but I recorded it all in one morning...
in the early afternoon I had finished recording
In June I knew a little more tinkering on things
But I was learning too, and I'm still learning, we're always learning things
And, it was a landmark, because we had the first video with a juggler that wasn't me in the channel,
okay that was the "one trick, a chance"
But it was a very complete video,
the first was a juggler from outside, Percy Córdova, from Peru.
We recorded "Caminante", which is a clubs video
was recorded in two days, if I'm not mistaken
And "Urban" which was a handstand video
and today is one of my favorites, I really like the Urban
We also recorded in two days
were two mondays, one after another
And rained on both mondays, it was the most incredible.
We were going to the second Monday to record.
and thinking - ah, if it doesn't rain, man ... - Before, right.
If it doesn't rain it's all right, we mix both videos and do something, like, sun and rain
interleaves images and will be a cool thing, we'll see
and we got there it was raining, we thought Woooow, that was what we needed.
Cool! It was awesome!
Besides, was incredible recording a hanstand video
I want to do more acrobatics and more things that are not juggling
bring more related arts to Malabarize-se
Don't stay only in juggling, but bring Parkour, dance, skate, bike and stuff
in June we also started contact tutorials that are for now 8 on channel
But, for sure it'll be more, but if you don't know the contacts tutorials, it's a great opportunity to watch them now
Happened also two "one trick, one chance", which worth mention, worth remember
Was the "Juggling a GoPro", one of the only takes I did with the GoPro from now, I guess
I did juggling, did 5 balls, 4, 3, with the GoPro, and it is interesting, it gives ...
gives a vertigo, right. You can see how does it feel being a juggling ball
and the "Multiplex challenge"
the "EscovAÇÃO" also happened in June, and the tutorial of how to spin a toothbrush on the finger.
In July we had the Ephemeral, the only art video with me a video of diabolos, with some half-assed tricks...
But it was nice to produce, it was an abandoned building that nowadays ... half of it was demolished, don't know if it was whole demolished already
and Lucas helped me, my friend, thank you man!
Thanks for being there for me at this day! He also helped at "Juggling a GoPro"
The "Naito" with Javier Pinto, on an overpass near the Barra Funda subway, Sao Paulo
Those flares, some people asked, that was because of the lens filter
I didn't know at the time that if you take the filter out, flares disappear
But I liked the result, I thought it was an interesting thing, kind of sshh
Blue lights, purple lights flying at the sky, was very interesting
And then there was the "We went back to the wind" which was produced earlier in June, with Elias
And this video took a little longer, I guess it was about 5 days because, come on, we got there...
we got there a few days and had no wind.
And then on August happened the collaborative with Iberê of Manual do mundo
We did a 3 balls tutorial, was fantastic to produce that
And that really helped the channel to grow, thanks Iberê!
For this, and for all other things, the conversations we had there ... thanks man!
Right after the collaborative with Iberê I went to Goiânia, Goiás to the VI Meeting of Malabares and Circus
I documented the meeting there, was the first events video here in the channel,
and at Goiânia we recorded a lot of things, missing projects, the first video of "missing project", was so many
The calls to the 14th CBMC, the biggest juggling and circus event here in Brazil
The Brazilian convention of Juggling and Circus, which also has video, but it was only in November
And then, there at Goiânia we recorded the missing two months with a lot of people, at a park nearby
and also recorded two videos in University Square on two different mornings
had the "Between the Sun and the Unicycle" with Jesus, the Tomás Simão
And then you may be seeing on the screen now my second height fantastic attempt,
that was required to go down there ... we did the takes in "between the sun and the unicycle"
then happened a second height there. fantastic performance, true circus!
And there was also the "TOTEM" with Gabriel, the video that was easier to name until now
We finished the video and said: - What will be the name of this video?
Ah, TOTEM, it is! Because of that strange structure that resembled a Totem, obviously
Was kind of short, today I think it's short, Gabriel, we have to do more things together! more videos!
In September there was the Miracle, the only acrylic video at the channel so far
With Jorge Ribero, from Uruguai.
There was nothing produced with two cameras, and a few takes of it wouldn't be posible to do with two cameras
because it was front and back stuffs.
Some people asks it at the comments
Then I went to Curitiba, to Gustavo Horn's home to record with Gus and Gio
Thank you guys, for all that support
We did the "Fantastic Juggling Skills" there, which is a kind of Polishop story
Is a kind of a shameless humor...
Which was awesome to produce, was pretty funny, it was exactly what I wanted to do
At least I think it's funny, I laugh when I watch it.
And...some people think that Gustavo and Giovani edited it
and I do not shoot their own merits, they are fantastic in editing
But this video that I edited, really, I came home on the bus and on the plane editing this video
And we also produced the "Mom, I'm tired of pizza III" which was one of the funniest videos nowadays
I've attended, the recordings I say, had things like
powder chocolate falling on my head and messing the whole kitchen
Butter on nose, butter on face
without saying the other things, juggle things and eat them
so...was a memorabe thing.
I really want to produce more, do more collaborative with these guys from Curitiba, who are fantastic
Worth mentioning also the Mig and Pippin who gave a big hand with it, who gave a helping hand in the production
Thanks, guys! Awesome! And Roberta, of course!
Thank you all!
Was a fantastic trip!
In September I went to Intercircu Bauru, on September 7th holiday
it's a free event that happens through the countryside of São Paulo as I've said so many times here in the channel
It's genious, is very worthwhile going if you're from Sao Paulo, next year may happen
And I'll say here at the channel
In October we released "Flow," with Gustavo Ollitta
It was great, because the guy was going to Italy in two weeks and we said
Gosh, I have to do a video with you, let's make this video! go!
So we took it and was, like, we shooted on Thursday and on Tuesday the video was ready!
I spent the weekend editing it! It was cool!
In October started the diabolo tutorials!
Today we have 3 in the channel yet, unfortunately, I'm not having much time,
you may be seeing that December is kind of troubled, many videos are not happening
But this is the life, hup ? Too many Projects.
There will be new diabolo tutorials, I promise, in the future, here in the channel!
And in October began the Youtube Most Viewed. A project with a Video each month that is happening,
next month comes another one, the first episode was ..
I taught you to contact juggle soccer balls.
Then I traveled to Rio, I was 18 days in Rio and the trip has been the more productive until now
in 18 days we produced 15 videos, including many videos with Lucas Castelo Branco
had the "Biruleibe" and 3 tutorials, was great, thanks Luquinhas!
It also has some other videos with him to edit yet,
you'll see in the future,
Also had the video with Rodrigo Ceribelli, the "From stone to duck"
you're seeing on the screen, part of the rewind
our top-of-head stall gladiators, but hey!
This video hasn't been released yet, it'll be released, hopefully in January, so wait!
November, close enough, last month!
There was the "6 months project", with a teaser over there
saying "ooh, the 6 months projects", guess what!
that was the story of the beard, I let my beard grow for 6 months,
then I shave the beard and did a time lapse, took a photo at a day
then the launch of a new channel the "Just Freestyles"
and then, CBMC, the biggest event of juggling and circus in Brazil
in São João del Rei, Minas Gerais, we went there!
And it was great! I've got nothing to complain about this event, I really enjoyed it!
And there were some videos there! came the video "The Event" with an overview
the shows, the parade, and all the things that happened
and the video "the jugglers".
In this video I wanted to do something that focuses more on people than in juggling
I don't know, say what you think, it was an experiment, an experimental video
Some people liked, some don't, this is the life, we can't make everybody happy
but the result is within what I expected.
And also had a video that it is a great honor for me.
The "Sun" with Neta Oren, the Israeli fantastic juggler, amazing!
there are other videos of her in the internet, I recommend you to take a look!
Actually there are more than two, I'm refering to the two produced by her brother, Asaf.
"Let them come" and "Life is short, I have a coat, let's do something"
are very good and worthy watching, the links are on description.
December is here! Is happening, but there is something you don't know!
I was at Florianópolis for 9 days with Juan Duarte Mateos, from Uruguai, Brazil right?
Half Uruguai, half Brazil.
We made two videos there, you'll gonna see it soon!
That was genious, a very nice trip! Thank you so much Juan!
The last week's video was Diabolo.ca Collaboration Video 2012,
a traditional video which happens every year.
Anyway, at 2012 was more than 100 videos at Malabarize-se!
