Hi, cocinillas.
So, this is the second cutting chapter.
This time we will learn how to cut peppers and garlics.
First, we will learn how to cut correctly,
either a green or a red pepper.
First we get rid of the stem.
Many people just cut a part of the pepper
that's a waste,
what you should do is press.
It will come off easily
and then just pull
all the seeds will come out and the stem too.
The pepper will be complete
and it can all be used.
Cut it in the middle
and for the seeds left over, just put it under the tap
and get them away with water.
Then, we get rid of the white parts of the inside.
We never cut it from the outside because the knife can slip
It will be easier to cut from the inside.
The white parts we will get them off with the help of a knife.
Then we will start to cut
as you can see
and then join the strips and cut in cubes
As I said in the video before
be carefull with the fingers.
It is very important that the knife is sharpen.
This is a normal knife
one you can have at home without sharpening.
a serrated knife, the cut is more agresive.
You have to press, you can't cut easily
and probably the cut will not be completed.
This can make us loose the knife
and cut a finger,
so it is best to have a sharpened knife
better to one not sharpened, because this one will be more dangerous.
Now you will see the easiest way to peal off a garlic
and it won't be with your nails.
Get a knife
and cut both sides.
Then put the knife plain on top of it
and a small knock like this
and what you get
is it peals of easily.
The easiest way to peal and it won't break the garlic
With this same knife you can make small cuts.
If you want smaller ones
it's better to use another knife.
During two chapters
we have learned different kind of cuttings.
For all kind of vegetables.
So we can do this with any sauce that we want to prepare.
See you next chapter in Emite 1.
Greetings.
